“MOTION IS LIFE AND LIFE IS MOTION” (A.T. STILL)

OSTEOPATHY

Osteopathy is a manual holistic medicine, for prevention and healing. It was developed about 140 years ago by the American doctor Andrew Taylor Still (1828-1917). Osteopathy is based on the principle that health expresses the functional balance of all structures of the human body.
Restrictions in movement and blockages are discovered and removed by manual examination and treatment procedures. For this purpose the osteopath uses his knowledge of the anatomical and functional connections of bones, muscles, nerves and blood vessels between the different body parts. A personalized treatment restores tensions and normal physiological functions to stimulates the body’s own self-healing powers.

OSTEOPATHY IS DIVIDED INTO THREE AREAS

As a holistic complementary medicine, osteopathy is not limited to physical symptoms, but views the human being as a whole and holistic entity, takes into account possible influences of his environment and allows these findings to be incorporated into his treatment.
Thanks to the diversity and range of osteopathic techniques, there are no age limits in osteopathy. Whether newborns, pregnant women, athletes or senior citizens, everyone can benefit from osteopathic treatment. Osteopathy can be used as a primary measure, but also as a complementary medical treatment in an interdisciplinary framework.
